HAIRSTYLING BY SHANNON

I’m a hairstylist from Dundee, specialising in bridal hair. I’m based in a busy salon in Monifieth where I offer regular hairdressing services and bridal trials. 

I’ve worked in the hair industry for over fifteen years, starting off with humble beginnings as an assistant in a salon in Broughty Ferry. My mum went on to take over the salon, which led to me starting my apprenticeship. It didn’t take long for my passion for hair ups to surface, as they soon became my specialty. This wasn’t too much of a surprise, since my mum had been teaching me how to style hair from a very young age (so that she didn’t have to do her own!).

As a bridal hair specialist, I will treat each bride like they’re the only one in the world. You will have my whole attention every time we communicate, and I will work closely with you to create the wedding hair of your dreams. I pride myself on my ability to ‘read the room’, meaning that I can adjust to whatever atmosphere I may be in, to keep everyone comfortable. My personal experiences with wedding planning and working in a bridal boutique as manager for over two years has given me the knowledge and wisdom needed to truly give you ‘the bridal experience’.

I also enjoy styling hair for editorial and commercial projects, such as photoshoots, advertising campaigns and fashion shows.
